I am still getting along with my Nokia fliphone that is going on six years old... ancient by cellphone standards, but you know what? It still works, the original battery still holds a good long charge, and my calls are still crisp and clear.  B)

The old models are indeed good ones to keep. I also have an old nokia mobile one of the firsts colored cellphones (no camera), and yes it is still working fine, the battery just need a replacement though.

I donate all of our old cell phones to the women's shelter. They distribute the phones to women who are living within the shelter. The women can still use the phones to dial emergency services if needed. There are many programs that will take your old phone and put it to good use. Not only are you helping someone out, but you get a warm feeling from doing so.

To be honest, we don't really recycle cell phones, but we reuse them. A lot of mobile phones which are still in working conditions have been passed to other generations of my family, whether it be my children or the older ones who live with me. In one way it's better, so we don't have to keep buying newer ones. The only time I get new cell phones is when companies hand me ones which they would like me to use...
