Rather than let an old coal plant deteriorate into the landscape, an environmentalist
and entrepreneur has re-purposed these buildings into a haven for artists (and cats.) :biggrin:  

With a long history of dependence on fossil fuels, Ireland is aggressively embracing
renewables.

From the Grist article-

"Nearly 85 percent of the country’s primary energy consumption comes from hydro-power and geothermal sources. These advancements were made in the wake of the country’s commitment to become completely independent from fossil fuels."
