Yeah, everyone should do recycling even the little ones, I believe. At home, I teach my kids about recycling - how it will help mommy and daddy save money and of course help our environment. At their early age, they start using their old notebooks and pens and they just beautify them to look nice. I have saved bucks from buying them their school supplies although I still have to buy some but not that much. :)

The forest service is experimenting with various machines for making wood pellets for stoves. The mobile
machine is a good alternative because cost of transportation of pellets makes it unfeasible in most instances.
Making sell-able products out of forest "waste" will help clear out the forest floors. This "waste" is the fuel
that makes wildfires so deadly; too much get's piled up over the years.
