Ideas for going green in your home?

the Rockefellers, Morgans, and Rothschilds
are not even on the Forbes top 100 list for money.
Gates is number one, and he gives a lot of his money to charity. Not all rich folks are bad.

And overpopulation is our number one issue-problem. Putting more on us on this planet,
is hardly green.

I know this is a stupid question, but where do you buy cleaning rags for cheap? I don't have any old towels or shirts or anything that I can cut up. Is there anywhere you can get a big bag of recycled cleaning rags?
edit-- I realize I look horrible for not having done this a long time ago. I'm still kind of new at certain aspects of "going green" so don't hate me!

white cotton clothes for buffing in the same area. Fairly cheap.
Or the better idea would be to go to a 2nd hand store, and pick up a few cotton shirts/blouses or running pants.
It'll only set you back a buck or two. Cut them up into squares, and there ya go.

I hope those paper towels you used were not from the koch brothers. Double ugh.

Thanks for the tips! I didn't even think about going to the Goodwill for stuff. I do that this week. :)

The Koch Brothers are coal and oil billionaires who are extremely active in funding bad science about climate change, the type of bad science you might see on a news network known for publishing falsehoods.
It is rumored that the Koch Brothers have a small vacation home somewhere up Paul Ryan's rear end.

I have LEDs (accent bulb size) in the chandelier in the dining room and in the entry hall. I also have some LED floods over the fireplace. They are exactly as bright as I need/want them to be.
The only place that I have any incandescents left is in the two ceiling fans in the living room. Both fans each take 3 accent size bulbs and the accent size LED bulbs aren't bright enough to support the living room properly.
Edit: I also added an additional R-15 of insulation to what was probably about R-15 already there. Between that and switching electricity companies, I just paid less than $80/mo for electricity in the last two summer months. In Florida. 2100sqft house.

Right now everybody is wondering why we would need so much electricity. Two koi ponds, at least 5 pumps, a spa, a pool, a heated turtle enclosure, a large house, a guest house, three refrigerators, 8 webcams, and approximately 15 computers.
Now our bill is down to about $60 to $100 a month, so far, winter is coming.

15 computers though? How many people are in your household? You must have a tribe, lol.

It's just DH and I, the kids are grown and on the East Coast. Most of the computers are off most of the time. We do different types of development that requires us to have this or that operating system available for testing. And I do web development in my home office/mancave.

They also do not care for mint! So if you can grow a few mint plants and place them in an area the they like to congregate they will leave. And you can also use the leaves for cooking!

If the Kochs have "a small vacation home" anywhere, they should get in touch with Al Gore, because he could give them a few pointers on buying holiday homes.
