. . . bought a house,
. . . got married,
. . . catered our own reception (in our house)
. . . got lay'd off from work.
I spent a year doing a lot of part time jobs,
. . . finally getting a full time job (less money)
. . . we paid all our bills,
. . . but couldn't even afford hot dogs or hamburgers that year and
. . . then we had a baby.
We had nothing for a baby and no money!
We stopped at a Church Yard Sale,
. . . stopped just to look, at all the things we would need and
. . . keep counting the money we had, over and over,
. . . trying to stretch it as far as possible,
. . . to get one or two things we could afford.
Trying to decide, what we wanted VS needed VS money we had.
Suddenly the Paster appeared and asked if we were expecting?
. . . We said yes, it was our first and when it was due.
. . . Well than, he said, we would need
. . . . . . baby bottles, bottle sterilizers, diapers, blankets, rattles, and
. . . he started boxing up things for us.
We tried to explain to him that we couldn't afford all this,
. . . he said "How much money do you have?"
. . . We told him.
I'll never forget, the big smile he had on his face, as he said,
. . . Why, That's exactly what these costs, when we add in this and this and
. . . of course every baby needs these.
. . . Now I'm sure these are all clean, but when you get home,
. . . I want you to sterilize everything very carefully, you can't be too careful.
I'm not one for crying, but I've got to admit,
. . . my eye's were watering, while leaving with my wife and I carrying,
. . . 2 large cardboard box's of baby things and
. . . we did scrub, clean and sterilize every bit of it.
