This video via You Tube/Grist will make you smile, knowing there are still wonderful
wildlife protectors out there-possibly risking life and limb to save animal's.
Excellent.

Awww...that was sweet!  I'm glad that they didn't try to reach in and grab the bear cubs.  LOL

It's nice to know there are helpful people.  And, it is nice to know that there are helpful, caring people who use their common sense.  They kept at a safe distance.  As you said, this was potentially life threatening.

And they didn't call animal rescue, which would have separated the family. Nice to read a "good news" story.

Wow. It was as if the mother bear knew that they were coming to help as she walked away while they were setting up the ladder and came back when she saw that it would work. That was a nice video.

Yes, the Mama bear knew.  It's not the first time it's happened. The couple has done it many times before. Apparently, the baby cubs learned how to pick the lock on the trash dumpster and climb inside. There was a human (or animal) interest story about it on my local news channel.

That was down right amazing rescue. At first I thought the rescuer was going to get into the dumpster. Made my Day.

Thank you! I'm glad they have a relationship with the bears that she can recognize that. Although, it would seem that the outside of the dumpster would be too slick to climb up, especially since the inside of it doesn't allow them to climb out. But, as usual, it's much easier to get into something than it is to get out of it.

I wondered about that too. But somehow the cubs have found a way to get inside. Where there's a will, there's a way.

I'm guessing here, but they have those pick up handles on the outside. Nothing on the inside. They probably
used them like a ladder to climb in.

It was so clever of the people to give the cubs a ladder to get out and then get far away from them. Like other posters, I was surprised the mother bear backed off to let them help. It was heartwarming to see the whole family of bears walk away together down the road. Thanks for sharing the video. That was really nice to see.

Thank you for sharing that video. It did make me smile. It was really kind of them for helping those bears get out of that dumpster. I kind of wonder how they got in the dumpster in the first place. It was funny when the bears instantly got out right away, when they placed the ladder inside. It was like they already knew what to do.

When it's groceries, bears find a way.

It's not the first time the couple helped the cubs get out of the dumpster. Thanks for bumping this thread. I watched the video again. It made me smile too.

As good as it is to see humans helping critters-
it's even more amazing when critters help critters.

That is a "feel good" video. I saw where someone asked the question, in a youtube post, "how did they get in the dumpster considering they needed a latter to get out?" There are many trees surrounding the dumpster, or they could have climbed up the dumpster by stepping on to, or getting a grip from the handles on the outside of the dumpster.

Of course, it doesn't matter how they actually got in there, it's just good to see all three get out. And if you noticed, all 3 baby bears, plus the momma bear, made a bee-line to get away from the dumpster, and probably won't go near it in the near future, at least we hope not.

Also, they need to keep those doors closed to keep this from happening again.

That was so cute! These kind of videos are really enlightening. You can really treat these kind of events as miracles. That was a really nice pig. Your friendly neighborhood Spider Pig. I would really love to see a lot more of these videos. Which reminds me, has anyone seen this clip? It was about a dog who got run over in Chile, I think, but another dog rescued him and safely dragged him with his paws and not his jaw to the other side.

What I really loved about it was that the injured dog had actually survived!

Oh! The bears must really love it in the dumpster then! You're welcome! ^_^ Those are really nice people though since they always help the bears out. I hope the cubs don't get hurt each time they go into the dumpster though. These videos are really heartwarming. ^_^
