Girl, I had a subscription to USA Today in college and had to get the supervisor to stop the guy from reading my newspaper before he put it in my box! I hate reading a previously read newspaper. He didn't get mad though, apparently, he felt the same way that's why he never asked me to bring it back when I was done. He loved all of my magazines.

There is nothing like a Sunday morning, when everyone is asleep, to open up the big, Sunday paper, and sit there for hours, reading it with a cup of coffee. I do miss reading the paper, holding it in my hands, turning each page, circling things I wanted to go back and read later, clipping out the coupons, aahh. I miss that.

When we were children we used to do papier-mache stuff with old newspapers. (If we had continued to do that by now we would've had a pyramid of stuff ). But now we just give them away to guys who come to collect them or if there's a lot, which is the case with my folks, we sell them to shops that buy them in bulk. Grocery shop owners use newspaper to wrap dry goods.

I don't make fire logs, however recycled newspaper can be reused in a variety of crafty applications, from picture frame mats to decoupaged tabletops. As an alternative, you can also try the “dig a hole” method of composting. Simply dig a one-foot hole anywhere in your yard, gradually add your newspaper and cover the hole with a board or bricks until it’s full.

It's also a more eco friendly way than laying down plastic to rid an area of weeds.
lay down the papers (several layers thick) then cover with mulch.
The unwanted weeds may come back but it will take a few seasons and the little land critters love it (They gag on
plastic)
