Would it be possible to start beginners threads on how to start up things? Like "How to set up your compost pile." or "How to start an organic garden." Maybe keep them pinned at the top so new members can find them more easily?
I am still new at all this and it would be wonderful if I had a place to get tips from others who had been doing this for a while.

but in the meantime,
whenever you need info-
just type in the word in the searchbox-compost-garden, etc.
It will bring up several threads to read.
It does have to have at least 4 letters though. *gmo won't work for instance.

You can also do this via Google typing site altenergyshift.com
and your query, as in example for "how to"
