As mentioned above are they getting the right kind of attention? Notice the many onlookers with cameras. Are they there for support or as voyeurs?The media know doubt are there for a salacious news story.
On a bicycle you are very vulnerable in traffic. If a motorist can realize that the cyclist could be very easily injured by their nakeness then at least one message got through.
A comment made by one of the participants, "We are baring our bums to show car drivers that the rear ends of cars are a lot dirty and stinkier than our naked bottoms." I must say that is another good point.
Personally I would not take part in a naked bike ride or be one of the onlookers.
