"One of the projects is the leasing of solar panels by residential customers -
they have already invested $280 million into it.
Google's new solar investment is of $75 million to create an initial fund with
Clean Power Finance that will help up to 3,000 homeowners go solar."

"GE and eSolar were already business partners thanks to a licensing agreement with GE Energy,
but they've decided to take their relationship to the next level and tie the knot more officially.
GE is doing a "strategic investment" of up to $40 million in the Pasadena company.

I guess I had better find more money to install solar on my home!

While I believe solar energy is hte only nuclear energy we should use, I would rather OWN the solar panels on myh home, instead of having to lease them from GE.

After all, I also believe that part of my 2010 tax burden actually belonged to them!

As homeowners, sure. But because of the economy (and massive foreclosures thanks to the banks
and people that didn't read the contract) lots more are renting these days.
Leasing panels is a good thing. Cash and carry as it were.
