I have noticed that this post has received over 100 views but not a single person has thanked you for posting it. I think this is a very helpful link and it is really good to know these things.  When I was in jounior high I found out that Nike was using child labor in sweatshops and we started a petition to send to them. I have not been keeping up with these kinds of things anymore, but they really are important. If people stop Using products that do not use ethical means to make their products could have an impact on the companies.

It would be good to have an organization like the Forestry Stewardship Council around the sustainability of products. While there are groups promoting and assessing organics, overall sustainability is not something that the average consumer sees for each product that they purchase. Having such an organization and product labeling would highlight how many products are really being produced in a manner that can not be sustained long term and would be good for further promoting sustainability.

An excellent find indeed! B)

So long as our labelling laws remain a complete mess and the poor consumer is kept in the dark, sites like this one are a must-have.

Well Done!

Nice thread and useful link, thanks for bring it to my attention and for ever posting this.

I think people sometimes don't go green because they don't know where to look at when it comes to check for sustainable products and services.

Thank you Shortpoet-GTD for the informative link.  I use a lot of procter and gamble products, but after looking at this link, I'm sure to look for alternatives instead.  I do agree that if we as consumers stop buying products from companies with bad practises, they would have no alternative but to change those practises.  It is often difficult as a consumer to know what actually made up the products and how the business practises are playing the role they do in our economy and with our planet.  This is very informative and helpful.

Thanks for posting this business directory! I sometimes feel overwhelmed by all of the companies popping up out of nowhere. I'm always looking for great reviews. This information needs to go viral!

I totally agree that we are being kept in the dark about the products we purchase.  This web site is a fantastic resource and I am grateful to have found a way to check up on corporations that seem to have run amuck.

I have heard that part of the reason our government does not interfere with the toxic way products are produced is that other countries would not approve them to be exported to them.  The products are toxic so the labeling is very vague in order to cover this up.  Think about the chemical treatments, the dyes, washing, pesticides for moths, and softening agents that taint our clothing so much that we have to wash or dry clean them before wearing them.

And think about our genetically modified "processed" food full of sugar, preservatives, coloring and additives that our toxic to our bodies. By damaging our immune system with toxins, these foods are actually causing the diseases and obesity we see as becoming epidemic.

Until we resolve this by going back to Nature's original plan of fresh organic foods, etc, we will continue to be ill, grow fat, and be led by the corporate powers down a very toxic road.  Their focus is only on profit, not on our health.  If we leave their packaging on the grocery store shelf and grow our own food, they might eventually see that we require fresh organic food full of healing nutrients and natural antibiotics to help us thrive--like Nature orginally intended it to be.

Well the issue is one thing that not enough persons are speaking intelligently about. I am very completely satisfied that.
