"Earth’s 2015 surface temperatures,
. . . were the warmest since modern record keeping began in 1880, (136 years ago),
. . . according to independent analyses by NASA, and
. . . the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)."

At least so far, the panhandle of Texas is a good place to ride out climate change. We're not seeing
the massive floods, snowfalls, wildfires like other states.
We did suffer from drought for several years but with all the extra moisture in the atmosphere
from the melting glaciers, we're out of the drought because of recent rains.
But also, with changing weather patterns; we could be back in drought again. Or flooded
out from excessive rains.

Not a good scenario for anyone on the planet; I hope the "sheeple" wake up to the FACT
of climate change but in reality, it's already 10-15 years past gone.

The last Blizzard, that buried the Southern States, Washington DC, New York, and Massachusetts,
. . . went out to sea, and never came to New Hampshire.
Normally, we would be measuring the amount of snow on the ground here, in feet,
. . . but, so far this year, we are measuring it in inches,
. . . with cold weather turning everything to ice, that making everything slippery.

In the 70's in the Texas panhandle; but the #gop are too busy denying. (Oh wait, it snowed back East
so that means climate change isn't real, right?) Snark

60's-70's now in Texas panhandle; mid February. They're forecasting 87!!!!!!!!!!! by next Thursday.
It's gonna be another record breaker this year (like the past several years have been already.)

And that moron at the 700 Club has the pea sized brain to praise the "wonders" of coal
and OM goodness; all the jobs that will be lost when that industry goes away. Do they
have a clue? Not one.
What about all the good paying jobs that solar and wind is creating, as we speak? He doesn't
acknowledge them at all.
He's spewing his lies and misinformation to all the religious types and they believe it.
Hair tearing time.

Normally, we measure snow in feet in NH,
. . . but, this year we are measuring it in inches.
Temperature this morning was only 3 degree's,
. . . but, the weathermen predicts, it will get much colder this weekend.

El Nino (aka climate change; imo) is baking parts; freezing others. Averages and normal's don't
happen anymore. <_<

NH Temperature went from below zero degree's with snow, to
. . . 50 degree's with rain now, and
. . . back down again tonight.

Mother Nature is going though the change; that's for sure.
Back East, record cold-ton's of snow.
Out West; record breaking high temps.
In the South, numerous storms with tornadoes.
No consistency to winter (or summer/fall/spring) nowadays.

Around here; everything's buddyng out-60's 70's; even a few 80's forecast.

You may recall that 2015 was the hottest on record for the globe.
. . . And by NASA’s accounting, it ended with a bang.
. . . 2015, December was the warmest on record, and
. . . the most abnormally warm month on record.

That is until now.
. . . 2016, January was the warmest on record,
. . . in 135 years of record keeping.

More than 2015- (scroll down a bit for the record breaking years; looks like all of them in the
last decade or so except for 1999)
A few years were ties.

Alaska is so warm,
. . . that officials are looking into trucking in a thousand loads of snow,
. . . to cover the first 11 miles, which lack enough snow to sled over, for the
. . . 1,000 mile long Anchorage, Alaska trail,
. . . where the annual Iditarod dog sled race is held.

Sea Ice Loss Blamed for Huge Spike in Alaskan Average Temperatures.

The average annual temperature, increased by
. . . 2.72 degrees Fahrenheit (1.51 degrees Celsius) over 91 years,
. . . so the current increase is both rapid and recent.
If the trend of decreasing sea ice continues,
. . . it will make the area more like the Bering Sea,
. . . but will also put the Alaskan coast at increased risk of
. . . erosion from intensified wave activity.

Climate Change but all they can say is "unseasonably" warm. Yeah right.

Severe dry conditions - linked to the El Niño weather phenomenon,
. . . bringing extreme weather around the world,
. . . are affecting big and small producers of hydropower alike.

Zimbabwe is pushing forward with plans to build,
. . . 4 new solar power plants,
. . . amid a drought that has battered its ability to,
. . . generate hydroelectricity.

Construction is expected to start this year, at a combined cost of
. . . $635 million. Each solar power plant will generate
. . . 100 MW.

Earth got so hot last month,
. . . that federal scientists struggled to find words,
. . . describing temperatures as "astronomical," ''staggering" and "strange."

February 2016 obliterated old marks by such a margin,
. . . that it was the most above-normal month,
. . . since meteorologists started keeping track in 1880, according to
. . . the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

Of course they will call it "weather" (and sometimes it is) but with all the extra moisture in the atmosphere from warmer
seas/climate change; we're seeing more tornadoes. One day last week; they had 25 in a just a few hours.

But then again; the wildfires that burn down vast swatches of the America forest or rising sea levels don't
seem to get the attention of everyone about climate change; so why should tornadoes?

I bet if insurance companies stopped paying for all this devastation, folks might listen?
Nah; pipe dream stuff.

This has been a very strange Spring in NH,
. . . we are getting 80 degree temps. for a couple of days,
. . . followed by rain and Temps in the 60's.
The cycle keeps repeating over and over again,
. . . in April, May, and June.

This past Winter,
. . . all we got were a few INCHES of snow,
. . . over and over again.
Never the few FEET of snow,
. . . that we are used to.

Now that I'm getting along in years,
. . . I really enjoy this GREAT weather,
But, it's just strange to see,
. . . all the extreme weather, going South.
