USA Energy Information Agency (EIA) forecast on coal.
The EIA attributes the cause's of falling coal consumption to be:
. . . . . . Lower natural gas prices,
. . . . . . Mercury and Air Toxics Standards (MATS) and
. . . . . . Renewables,
. . . but, their full effect on Coal, won't be clear, until 2016.
Non-hydropower,
. . . renewable-based electricity generation,
. . . is expected to grow by 12% in 2016.
